Are Wavekind products safe for acne-prone skin?

Yes. All Wavekind products are formulated to be skin-conscious and acne-aware. We avoid heavy oils, butters, and fragrances that are commonly associated with breakouts along the hairline, neck, and back.

Are Wavekind products fragrance-free?

Wavekind products do not contain synthetic fragrance. The Calm Waters Defining Gel is completely fragrance-free. The Cloud Veil Leave-In Conditioner has a very light, naturally occurring scent from its botanical ingredients. This scent does not linger, and no fragrance is added to the formula.

Will the natural scent irritate sensitive skin?

The Cloud Veil Leave-In Conditioner is formulated to be gentle and skin-conscious. However, as with all hair care products, we recommend patch testing if you have highly sensitive skin.

Do your products contain sulfates, silicones, or drying alcohols?

No! Wavekind formulas are thoughtfully developed to be lightweight, non-stripping, and build-up aware. They are free from sulfates, silicones, and drying alcohols. Specific ingredient questions can be found on each product page.

Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?

Hair Type & Usage

What hair types are Wavekind products best for?

Wavekind is designed primarily for fine to medium wavy hair (2a–2c), but also works well for loose curls looking for lightweight hydration and soft definition.

Will these products weigh my hair down?

No. Wavekind formulas are intentionally lightweight and designed to enhance waves without heaviness, stiffness, or buildup.

Can I use the Calm Waters Defining Gel on its own?

You can, but for best results we recommend pairing it with the Cloud Veil Leave-In Conditioner. The leave-in hydrates and preps the hair, while the gel adds soft definition and hold.

Can I use these products on dry hair?

Wavekind products are best applied to damp hair to enhance wave definition and reduce frizz. Light reapplication with water is recommended if refreshing between washes.
